The stadium increased its security in 2021 to limit bag sizes. The Stamford Bridge bag policy allows bags up to A4 size, which is standard handbags up to 30cm x 20cm x 10cm. All bags will be searched at the main gates when entering the stadium.

Stamford Bridge Transportation

There is limited parking at and around the stadium, including resident parking restrictions. The stadium recommends visitors take public transportation instead. There are also road closures on Fulham Road one and a half hours before kick-off and an hour after the match ends. Luckily, there are plenty of public transportation options that can get you to Stamford Bridge on Fulham road. 

Trains

The District Line takes you to the nearest tube station: Fulham Broadway. There are also two Overground stations on the direct line to Clapham Junction station. These are the Imperial Wharf and Brompton stations, which are a 15-minute walk to Stamford Bridge.  

Buses

Two bus stops are on Fulham Road, just outside the stadium: The Chelsea Football Club stop and the Chelsea Village stop. You can take bus lines 14, 211 and 414 to get there. 

River Boat

Chelsea Harbour pier is a 16-minute walk to the stadium. You can catch the River Boat Monday to Friday from the Putney Pier and Blackfriars Pier. The latest boats arrive at the pier at:

  • 6:20 pm eastbound 
  • 7:35 pm westbound 

Cycling and Walking

The roads to the stadium are walking and cycling friendly. The stadium also has a cycle shed for bikes. However, it does get crowded on match day, so you should arrive early for a space.
