About King Power Stadium
Home of the Leicester City Football Club since 2002, King Power Stadium is located near the city centre of Leicester, England. Although primarily used for football matches, the venue also holds concerts and rugby matches, including the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The stadium holds a capacity of 32,273. However, there are plans to expand the stadium to add 6,000 more seats, a 220-room hotel, and an entertainment arena.
There are plenty of food and drink options during your visit, including burgers, steak pies, and hot dogs. You can also purchase a hospitality package for your experience. If you want to take a tour of King Power Stadium, you have to check online for the days they are available. Tours only run 3 to 5 days a month, with 4 time slots during the day, so they quickly sell out. Nearby entertainment options also include the National Space Centre and New Walk Museum.
King Power Stadium Bag Policy
The turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to go through the required bag searching and screening protocols. The King Power Stadium bag policy limits any bags bigger than A4 size, or 30cm x 20cm x 10cm. Golfing umbrellas are also not allowed in the stadium.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the stadium no longer has bag drop facilities on site. This service may become available in the future but there is no current timeline regarding this.
